Where to buy multi-family apartment buildings? - Invest on Main Street

Hello, this is Shuo.

Where to buy multifamilies? There are so many places in the world – there are big cities, small towns, there’s your backyard, there’s your hometown.

Where would be a good location to buy B and C class, multifamily, value add apartment complexes?

The six criterias we look for are:

  • High population growth
  • High job growth and also recession resilient, diversified job markets.
  • High median household income growth.
  • High household to rent ratio
  • Emerging markets with a higher capitalization rate – and it’s also at the rise of a decade long cycle of growth expansion.
  • Low crime rate
