So syndicators may provide you with a sample deal package from a previous closed offering. This is a great document to be utilized to familiarize yourself with the business plan, investment and return structure of the syndicator. 

So when future deals of a similar type do come up, you’re not caught scrambling to understand the deal within a limited timeframe, as offerings do tend to fill up rather quickly. 

In addition to the sample deal package, it will be good to also familiarize yourself with other documents, such as Private Placement Memorandum (PPM), subscription agreements, and operating agreements.
